On June 12, 2026, Academician Li Peigen, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor and former President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, visited Shandong University of Science and Technology (SDUST). He delivered a lecture titled “Embracing the Intelligent Era: Challenges and Opportunities” for Universities at the 3rd Kehui Grand Forum, discussing AI’ s impact on higher education and emphasizing critical thinking, problem awareness, higher-order wisdom, and humanistic literacy. During his visit, Academician Li also toured the Cogtwins Lab and exchanged ideas with faculty and students. The visit strengthened academic exchanges and collaboration between Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Shandong University of Science and Technology in the fields of intelligent manufacturing and digital twins.
